- Assist applicant in registering for services
- Review the applicant's job qualifications, experience,
readiness, abilities, etc.
- Vocational counseling to Veterans and other applicants
- Refer the applicant to employers with appropriate job
openings
- Refer to other agencies for job training
- Refer to other agencies for supportive services (health,
housing, legal, etc.)
- Public access to computers featuring the Workforce New
Jersey's One-Stop website (Job Bank, Resume Bank, directories of training and services,
etc.)
- Personal assistance provided as needed to those using the
computers
- Vocational Rehabilitation services
Services for
unemployment insurance claimants:
- Public access to One-Stop computers for
posting resumes and searching for jobs
- Processing of Unemployment Insurance
claims
- Orientation to other services that are
available to job seekers (for example, referral to jobs, employment counseling, job search
workshops, resume preparation assistance, training and other services.
Services to employers include,
among others:
- Screening and referral of appropriate
job candidates from the largest pool of workers
- On-site (at employers location)
recruitment and screening for the employer
- Positive recruitmentemployer can
conduct recruitment using the office and facilities of Workforce New Jersey.
- Employers can set up on-the-job training
for workers through Workforce New Jersey
- Register
migrant seasonal farmworker crew leaders, agents and vehicles and inspect the vehicles
