  • Assist applicant in registering for services
  • Refer the applicant to employers with appropriate job openings
  • Refer for job training
  • Refer for high school equivalency training
  • Refer for supportive services (health, housing, legal, etc)
  • Provide training in interviewing and job search techniques

Services for unemployment insurance claimants:

  • Public access to One-Stop computers for posting resumes and searching for jobs
  • Processing of Unemployment Insurance claims
  • Orientation to other services that are available to job seekers (for example, referral to jobs, employment counseling, job search workshops, resume preparation assistance, training and other services.

Services to employers include, among others:  

  • Screening and referral of appropriate job candidates from the largest pool of workers
  • On-site (at employer’s location) recruitment and screening for the employer
  • Positive recruitment—employer can conduct recruitment using the office and facilities of Workforce New Jersey.
  • Employers can set up on-the-job training for workers through Workforce New Jersey
  • Register migrant seasonal farmworker crew leaders, agents and vehicles and inspect the vehicles
